Ship lift is also called "ship lift". A navigation structure that uses mechanical devices to lift and lower a ship to overcome the concentrated water level drop on a waterway. Brief introduction of Goupitan Hydropower Station

Goupitan power plant, also known as Goupitan power plant, is located in Yuqing County, Guizhou Province. It is the fifth level of cascade rolling development of the Wujiang River Basin. It is 137 kilometers away from Wujiangdu Hydropower Station on the top, 455 kilometers away from Fuling River Estuary on the bottom, with a control basin area of 43250 square kilometers, accounting for 49% of the whole basin. The average annual flow of the dam site is 717 cubic meters per second, and the average annual runoff of the dam site is 22.6 billion cubic meters.

Goupitan hydropower station is the key project of the national "Tenth Five Year Plan" and the landmark project of implementing the strategy of "west to East power transmission" in Guizhou Province. It is the largest hydropower station built by Guizhou Province and China Huadian Group Corporation. The navigation building project of Goupitan hydropower station is the only three-stage ship lift project in the world, which is of great significance for the resumption of navigation of Wujiang River.
