Our winch line extensions are essentially the same as our standard wire rope winch cables, but with an extra thimbled eye. The idea is to connect the hook on your existing winch line to the thimbled eye of the extension, and you can quickly and easily gain extra length. These extensions are made from IWRC XIP wire rope, meaning they have a steel core and a high breaking strength. We form the eyes using industry standard steel swage sleeves and a 500T industrial swage press. A galvanized thimble in the eye protects the cable from excessive wear. The hook is alloy and features a spring loaded safety latch. Although most commonly sold to tow truck operators, these extension cables are great for anyone that needs a little extra length. Steel Cable	Standard Hook	This is the most common type of winch line because it is most affordable. Non-swiveling hook, made from alloy steel, safety latch included.
Steel Cable	Swivel Hook	The overall function is similar to a standard hook, only this hook swivels which makes for easier connections, hook positioning and less binding.
Steel Cable	Self-Closing Swivel Hook	Also known as a "safety hook", this hook features a heavy-duty latch that opens outward, and closes immediately once a load is applied. This hooks also swivels, and generally is more durable than other hooks.
Steel Cable	Extension w/ Hook	An extension is a quick and easy way to get extra length / reach. Just connect the hook on your existing winch line to the thimbled eye of the extension, and you're off and running.
Ultrex Synthetic	Optional Hook	Made from Yale Cordage's premium Ultrex rope, these winch lines are incredibly lightweight, yet stronger than steel cable of the same size. Equipped with a durable Blue Line Thimble, and available with an optional, removable sling hook with safety latch.
